Contraception

After a pregnancy, it's a good idea to consider contraception. There are many different options, and the right one for you depends on your personal situation, health, and preferences.

Examples of contraception include:

  • Hormonal: the pill, injection, hormonal coil, contraceptive patch or ring

  • Non-hormonal: copper IUD, condom, diaphragm

  • Temporary or permanent: from a condom to sterilization

Some methods are suitable if you are breastfeeding, others less so.

Want to know more or discuss which form of contraception is best for you? Schedule an appointment for our contraception consultation. During this consultation, we'll take the time to answer your questions, and if you'd like, you can have an IUD inserted right away.
